The Asbury Park Rotary Club held a Mini Golf Outing in August, 2017, to support the club as well as raise funds for additional AED devices for the Asbury Park Fire Department. We raised enough funds to purchase three defibrillators.  On February 14 we welcomed Asbury Park Fire Chief Kenny Keddy, Asbury Park Fire Marshall Garrett Giberson, and our Rotary member Neptune Fire Commissioner Paul Annunziata as the distributor of the AED demonstrated how the device works to save lives.  James Schatzle, Paramedic, Founder & President of Team Life, shared the statistic that every 90 seconds someone suffers a massive heart attack, with a 5% survival rate. What a AED does, is change that survival rate to 90% if used within the first few minutes.  He then demonstrated the ease of using the defibrillator.  For more information visit their website www.teamlife.com or call Jim at 732.946.4243; it could save the life of someone you love.

We would like to thank our club members for their work on this project, especially Kip Daly, Paul Annunziata, Tony Chambrovich and Brian Mullins.
