Asbury Park Rotary's Bocce Dream Team

Easy Victory over Long Branch

Gary S, Vince, Janice and Linda celebrate without the Golden Clam Trophy

With the first roll of the balls, four points were taken and there was no looking back.  Asbury Park Rotary coasted to an easy victory in the  Bocce Match versus Long Branch Rotary at their annual clambake held August 4, 2016.  Asbury Park lost the first meeting in 2012 but has won all the matches since for a 4-1 record.  It was a most beautiful evening at the Long Branch Ice Boat and Yacht Club overlooking the Shrewsbury River.

Everyone on the team played lights out as Asbury Park Rotary won the first two games, 11-3 and 11-4.  The team consisted of retuning players Vince, Gary S and Linda.  A last minute replacement was called up: Vince's wife Janice.  And, can she play bocce ball!  Long Branch was heard muttering about switching the challenge to Corn Hole next year. Vince's response to that was, "Bring it on!"
