President Brenda proudly stepped up to the microphone and presented a check from Asbury Park Rotary for $1000 to Rotary District 7500 Gift of Life Foundation to save children’s lives around the world.  Over $30,000 was donated by Rotary clubs of District 7500 at the GOLF Annual meeting August 8, 2016.  This money is used for medical missions to the Philippines, Haiti and El Salvador to perform surgery to correct congenital heart defects on children unable to receive the lifesaving procedures.

Rob Raylman, CEO of Golf of Life International, praised the District 7500 GOLF board for their ever increasing support.  “We not only save the lives of children, but save the lives of families.  Without us, the children have no hope,” said Rob.  Throughout its history, District 7500 GOLF has helped heal the hearts of more than 1195 children.

Nancy Haddock, Matawan Rotarian and GOLF trustee, accompanied a recent mission to the Philippines supported by District 7500 GOLF where nine children were saved.  She said the change she observed in the children was miraculous.  From barely moving before surgery to running around and playing after.  Nancy said the children and their families sent this message: “Thank you and God bless you all.”

Attending the dinner meeting at La Bove Grande in Lakehurst with Brenda were Jim and Gary S, a GOLF board trustee.
