Mid-Year Assembly Means Rotary Year is Half Over

Asbury Park Rotary was represented at the Mid-Year Assembly by five of its members as District Governor Sheila reported on the first half of the Rotary year in District 7500.  Our group attended and participated in the various workshops to help build a well-functioning Rotary club.  The event was held January 27, 2014 at La Bove Grande in Lakehurst and included a raucous  keynote speech by famous Rotarian John T Capps of North Carolina.  Gov Sheila characterized our club as "crazy" to the group of other Rotary clubs because of our Polar Plunge she witnessed two days previously.  Traudy, Brenda, Robin, Tom P and Gary picked up some good tips to bring back.  The one thing that was stressed was something we already knew -- successful Rotary clubs are the ones that have fun!
