In a very moving ceremony, Oakhurst VFW Post 2226 held the dedication of the Vietnam War Veterans Memorial on Saturday Sept, 8th. Members of our Club attended the event, as well as area veterans, and their loved ones. Many local, county, and state officials were on-hand to show their support, including the Ocean Twp Mayor and Council, and Former Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno. Post Commander Jim Mack, who is also a member of our Rotary Club, worked tirelessly for over 3 years to make the day a reality. We commend Jim for his dedication, and thank all service members and veterans for their sacrifice and service.
