Our projects and fund raising work were shown to be worthwhile when we had a chance to meet the exceptional young students from our local high schools receiving Rotary Scholarships. The recipients are Talula Dechev of Neptune H.S. and attending University of North Carolina; Olivia DelCuore of Ocean Twp H.S. and attending Brookdale Community College; and Jesus A. Santos Reyes of Asbury Park H.S. and attending Brookdale Community College. Jesus is the recipient of the New Jersey Natural Gas Scholarship, presented by Tom Hayes - Director of Customer and Community relations for NJNG. All the students showed not only high academic achievement but much time involved with service to their community -- one of the requirements to receive the Rotary Scholarship. The program was masterfully presented by our MC HJ Abrecht. Congratulations, also to Roy and Tama for their first year as Co-chairs, and a big thank you to all the members who served on the Scholarship Committee!
