In February and March 2022, Rotarians of the Asbury Park Rotary hosted a 6-week collection drive leading into National Women's History Month (March).

The United Way of Monmouth & Ocean County were recent guest speakers at the Rotary Club. In their presentation, they informed Rotarians of the big need for women's personal/sanitary/toiletry items. The United Way distributes these products to women and families throughout the area. Some of the high-priority items included: shampoo, conditioner, pads and tampons, baby diapers, kids toothpaste, kids 3 in 1 shampoo-conditioner-body wash, and more.

The collection drive was a group effort with Rotarians finding unique ways to both solicit and deliver items to service project coordinator, Dina Blackwood.
Dina shared that "Amazon boxes kept arriving at her door...she soon realized these were donations sent by fellow Rotarians. Such a easy and efficient way to participate!
