I grew up in Belford, NJ, studied accounting at Muhlenberg College, then headed to New York City. Most of my career went to a family office, where I worked as an idea generator and stock trader.

I have lived in Monmouth County for nearly 50 years, and for most of them I worked somewhere else. I joined Rotary to become more of a local and to help out as much as I could. In 2025-2026 I had the honor of serving as president of the Rotary Club of Asbury Park.

I care most about anything that exemplifies "Teach a man to fish ..." and anything that lets people know someone out there cares, they are not alone. That is why I sponsored four flags for our Field of Heroes.

My business is another way to live that: Monmouth and Ocean County Awning has been on Main Street in Asbury Park since 1940. This city has been home to the company since the day it opened, and we are proud to be part of its rebirth. Restaurants, homes, porches, patios: we make the shade that makes people want to stay a little longer. Our motto: Anything Under the Sun.

What sets our service apart is the true dedication our team has to the quality of their final result. Yet, awnings are sewn, built, and hung by people, and I care about every one of my team members. Some came to us when a good job was hard to find. Everyone deserves a their chance, and I would rather hand someone a tool and a trade than a lecture. Teach a man to fish in the truest form.

We will make nearly anything out of fabric, and "can you build this?" is my favorite question.
You can read more about our work at monmouthandoceancountyawning.com.

Rotary is the natural progression for the continuous commitment to the community: it just gave the idea a bigger room.

The best way fellow Rotarians can help me? I think I am good.

The best way I can help them: pick up the phone and call if you need something! I mean it.

A fun fact you never realized about me: I am smiling, just on the inside.

My advice to anyone thinking about joining Rotary is to hold your nose and jump in!

The time will never be perfect.

Rotary is a welcoming and friendly organization.
